Book Essays

An earlier edition of this book had a chapter called "Once upon a Soapbox: A Collection of  EHT Essays." (EHT stands for Ethnic-Hippies Theory--the theory that contemporary Hippies comprise a living ethnicity; that is, Hippie culture didn't end with the 1960s, has survived and prospered, is, in fact, often transmitting generationally--Hippie parents having Hippie kids and grandkids, etc.) I loved that chapter, felt it was some of my best most fun writing.  I particularly liked the media analysis section called "Fun Media Analysis with EHT: Five Examples with Accompanying Ridicule" (see the Shark piece below). But I felt the book was too long and pulled it. However, that doesn't mean I can't post some of them here on this website--with audio too. I will be adding material periodically. Here's the menu so far:

Mr. Paulie’s Psychedelic Experience: Toto, We’re Not in Kansas                                                      Anymore!

The Infamous Case of Dr. Jeffrey MacDonald: “The Ballad

The function of leadership is to produce more leaders, not more followers.” — Ralph Nader
